Welcome to my blog

Hi on this blog I want to share my passion for the work that I do in trauma using EMDR, Parts, Somatic work, ACT and CFT. Exploring the Neuroscience behind EMDR, mindfulness body work such as Yoga Nidra and looking at the different ways we can work with parts. Looking at Collective Trauma and how intergenerational trauma plays its part impacting on our lives. Exploring the importance of Attachment in humans from an evolutionary perspective and the biological need that we all have for attachment to survive.

“The capacity of the human mind to remember the past in chronological detail or to envision a future that is not here yet is both a blessing and a curse.”
By Janina Fisher, PhD

EMDR Relational recognises the enduring truth that Australia is home to hundreds of nations with histories spanning over 65,000 years. We acknowledge that the lands on which we live, and work remain unceded by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We honour the traditional custodians and owners of these lands and waters, respecting their role as the rightful guardians. We pay tribute to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, past, present and emerging.

EMDR Relational is deeply committed to valuing and respecting the unique cultural and spiritual connections First Nations peoples have with their lands, waters, and seas.

We proudly support the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
